Channel is where your WhatsApp number lives — whether it's connected, and whether Meta is happy with it. The page explains itself as you go, so this is mostly about what it doesn't tell you.

Reading the tab
The rail on the left holds your number and a checklist of everything Meta tracks about it — Messaging limit, WhatsApp Approval Status, WhatsApp Display Name, Phone Number Status and Quality Rating — each with a green tick or an amber warning. Pick any one and the right-hand side explains that item in full, with a Tools & Tips panel beside it covering what the tiers mean, what makes a display name get rejected, and how to keep your quality rating up. It's worth reading there rather than here, because it's written against whatever your number is actually doing. The one thing to know before you start: that checklist only appears once a number is connected — until then the tab holds a single Connect Account item and nothing else.

Why a status can look out of date
These values come from Meta rather than from us, and they're fetched on a deliberate delay: a change on Meta's side can take around ten minutes to reach this page, and there's no refresh button to hurry it along — waiting is the only lever. So a number you just fixed in Meta Business Manager may keep showing its old state for a few minutes, and that's expected rather than broken. Last Updated is the other thing people misread: it records when one of these values last changed, not when we last checked. A timestamp from three days ago usually means nothing about your number has changed in three days — which is good news, not a stale page.
