While a chat's 24-hour window is open, the composer lets you reply with anything WhatsApp supports — text, emoji, and media. Here's how to send a reply and add attachments.
1
Write & send a message
Click into the Type a message… box, write your reply, and press Enter to send. Use Shift + Enter for a new line, or click the green send button on the right.
2
Suggest a reply with AI
Not sure how to word it? Click the ✨ Suggest a reply with AI button, just to the right of the +. It reads the recent conversation and drafts a reply straight into the composer — then you review it, tweak the wording, and send. The draft always lands in the box first, so nothing goes out until you press send.
3
Add emoji, media & more
Click the + button to the left of the box. Its menu holds everything you can add to a reply — Insert emoji, Attach media, Open Knowledge Base, Send a template, Trigger a chatbot, and Trigger AI agent.
4
Insert an emoji
Choose Insert emoji to open the picker. Search by name or browse the categories, then click an emoji to drop it into your message at the cursor.
5
Attach a photo, video or document
Choose Attach media to open the upload window. Pick a category — Images, Videos, Documents, Audios or Stickers — then drag & drop files or click Browse Files. Add an optional caption and send; each file goes as its own WhatsApp message.
